The Steamatic Story

A Commitment to Service.
In 1948, two Fort Worth, TX businessmen decided to start a cleaning business. From the beginning, it was obvious their company would be unique and innovative. Bill Blackmon and Scott Mooring built a reputation of high standards and reliability that soon made them the leader in the cleaning and restoration industry.

As their market expanded, an idea formed to sell their unique hot-water recirculation cleaning systems through franchise opportunities, enabling people around the world to take advantage of their expertise and knowledge. In 1967, Blackmon and Mooring formed Steamatic Inc. in North Indianapolis to market franchises featuring their patented cleaning method.

In October of 2006 Bill Sims, an executive with over 20 years of experience at every level of Steamatic operations, purchased the company and its subsidiaries from BMS Enterprises, Inc.

Today, Steamatic stands poised to continue its leadership in the industry and aggressively expand its franchise operations globally as well as here in the United States.
